About our pups:

At Canter Hill, our border collies (Zeus and Bella) are both working dogs and family dogs.  They were born in 2008 and came straight to our farm.  Zeus comes from a farm in Genessee, PA, where his mom is a conformation champion, and his father a herding champ.  Bella comes from Ireland, where her parents are National and International Agility champions.

 

Zeus (shown at left) is dad.  Bella is our mommy.  

 

Puppies become available to new homes at 8 weeks of age, and are AKC registered and will have their vaccinations and health certificates.  The pups live in our living room for the first few weeks, and then are introduced to the farm and the animals at roughly 5 weeks of age.  They are extremely child tolerant, as our pre-schoolers love to play with them!   

 

Finding the right home:

We want our pups to go to permanent and perfect homes.  We watch for their personalities to develop so that we can tell who is high energy and needs a farm or work to perform, and who is more of a house dog.  No matter what the temperment, border collies need to run and need space.  We only want them to go to homes with significant yards and where someone is home during the day so that they can regularly be outdoors.  Please only contact us if this is you, because we want both you and the puppy to find a happy match! 

 

Price and Logistics:

Puppies are $650 each, and are secured with a $325 non-refundable deposit.  At 8 weeks, we will provide you with your puppy, a vet health certificate, their first round of vaccinations, their AKC litter registration (allowing you to register the dog as yours) and copies of both Zeus and Bella's AKC / ABCA (Bella is dual registered, Zeus is only AKC) lineage.
